About Khadys Dream

Kevin Koffi
Founder and Director

As the Founder and Director, my personal journey within the criminal system commenced at the tender age of 13, leading me to spend just under 6 years behind bars across 11 prisons spanning the UK.
HMP Cookham Wood, HMP Feltham, HMP ISIS, HMP PENTIONVILLE HMP AYLESBURY…

Having navigated the criminal justice landscape since my youth, my profound understanding and experience within this system are both vast and insightful.

Following my recent release (August 2022) I‘ve channelled my energy into ensuring that young individuals avoid the pitfalls I encountered during my own formative years.

Embarking on my transformative journey with the Princess Trust Enterprise Explore course provided the pivotal foundation and courage to ignite my path as an entrepreneur. By enhancing my skill set through the completion of the Google Project Management course, I’ve masterfully combined my street smarts with invaluable book knowledge.

Growing up, I didn’t fully grasp the implications of my actions when I committed a crime. I knew that breaking the law might result in going to prison, but that knowledge wasn’t enough to deter me. The allure of the crime overshadowed the simple thought that “breaking the law leads to prison.” I understood the potential gains from taking risks, but I didn’t fully comprehend the accompanying consequences.

It’s only after entering the criminal justice system that you truly understand the gravity of your actions, and by then, it’s already too late—you’re already a part of the system.

Khadys Dream has given me the opportunity to show young people the real-world consequences of crime early on, so they are fully aware of the potential outcomes of their actions. Our goal is to decrease youth crime by ensuring that they understand the serious repercussions of their choices.

Community Interest Company

Khadys Dream, a Community Interest Company (CIC) established on April 20, 2023, is bringing a message of hope and transformation while developing an ecosystem of support services for young people at risk of offending in the UK. We’re excited to bring our genuine and authentic workshops to schools, colleges, councils, and local communities all across London.

Preventing young people from committing crimes by sharing insight into the criminal justice system from first-hand experiences.

Highlighting the hidden consequences that don’t get revealed until one is behind a prison wall and referred by a prison number.

Offering a holistic approach to working with young people at risk of offending

Our Misson

Our mission is clear:

Educating young individuals about the real consequences of engaging in criminal activities and providing them with a basic understanding of the criminal justice system. Society often fails to adequately highlight the true impact of criminal behaviour, causing young people to turn to potentially misleading sources of information. This misinformation can lead them to underestimate the risks and manageability of crime’s aftermath. Our mission is to shed light on the genuine challenges, hoping that this awareness will encourage them to make more informed and considerate choices in their lives.

Building a strong partnership with other agencies that have the same goal. We guide young adults and children towards various paths that help them explore their passions and dreams more. This helps them see that it’s possible. Connecting with other charities, CICs, and organisations helps us guide the younger generation better. They can then follow their dreams with more help and see that it’s possible.

Steer youth away from a path of crime and instead ignite their passion. We plan to introduce them to individuals from similar backgrounds who, despite the pull of criminal temptations, chose to pursue their dreams and succeeded. This uplifting narrative aims to kindle inspiration by revealing the multitude of opportunities awaiting them – it’s simply a matter of shedding light on these possibilities. By consistently reminding young adults and children of the consequences of criminal actions and showcasing the exciting pathways various industries offer, we aim to significantly discourage youth crime.

Providing a holistic approach to working with young people at risk of offending.

Our Aims

Our focus is on providing genuine and unfiltered workshops that unveil the genuine nature of crime to young individuals. These sessions reveal the hidden challenges that often go unnoticed in movies or on social media, shedding light on the hidden and enduring effects on mental well-being.

Session at the New Horizons Youth Club

I recently had the opportunity to deliver a session at the New Horizons Youth Club, which was a great experience. This youth club is not like your average youth club, as it supports young people and adults who are dealing with homelessness. Due to their difficult circumstances, these individuals are more vulnerable to committing crimes.

Early Influence

One day, I was in a McDonald’s around 4pm after school. I was in a queue while there was a group of young schoolgirls in front of me, queuing up to get their food. While I was waiting, I was listening to a conversation that was loud. The girls were discussing a particular boy one of them fancied at their school. One of the girls asked the other girl why she wouldn’t give him a chance; he’s nice.

Unveiling Crime Realities: Types and Impact

In society today, there are many different crimes being committed. Drug offenses among young people are the most committed offenses due to the potential gains. Every young person has their reasons for committing a drug offense, whether that’s buying, selling, or using drugs – it’s still an offense. The reason drugs are so popular is because of…
